Scottish Transformation Projects: Video Overviews

Introduction

The Scottish Funding Council is supporting a programme aimed at transforming e-learning in Scottish Institutions. Six projects have been funded as follows:

Looking to the future: transforming learning in Scotland

Dr Bill Harvey, Deputy Director of Learning & Teaching, Scottish Funding Council delivered one of the keynote speeches at The Learner Driver Conference. This was a major conference about the transformation of learning in Scottish Further and Higher Education.

Looking to the US: A transatlantic perspective on the transformation of learning

Dr Carol Twigg, President and CEO of the National Center for Academic Transformation, New York, also delivered one of the keynote speeches at The Learner Driver Conference.

The CeLLS Transformation Project : An interview with Wendy Nightingale

This is the first in a series of video overviews and project updates from the six Scottish Funding Council Transformation Projects. Wendy Nightingale, Project Mananger for the CeLLS project is interviewed by Carol Walker from the JISC RSC Scotland North & East. Wendy provides an overview and describes the transformational elements of the project.

About CeLLS: The Collaborative e-Learning in Life Sciences (CeLLS) Project is a collaboration between several FE and HE Partners. The project has two transformation elements. The first, the collaboration between FE and HE communities and the second is a away from lectures as the main mode of information delivery to enhance the student learning experience.
