Over 50 delegates attended the third meeting of the McShib forum which was chaired by Andy Swiffin (University of Dundee) and featured presentations from Chad La Joie, Simon Cooper and Rod Widdowson.
Simon Cooper from JANET(UK) set the scene for the day by providing an overview of federated access management, describing the the role of the UK Access Management Federation, the steps involved for institutions and the various sources of support.
Chad La Joie (one of the chief architects of Shibboleth) highlighted the features available with Shibboleth 2.0 and also discussed issues relating to single log out and non-browser applications.
Rod Widdowson's presentation covered the Windows Installer for Shibboleth (currently being trialled by organisations involved in the JANET project).
