This forum provides a mechanism for individuals within Scottish colleges and universities to share information about federated access management and Shibboleth. The group will be of interest to anyone involved in access management within their organisation, particularly IT and learning resources staff. Whether you simply want to find out more about federated access management, or are well into the implementation process and would like to share your experiences, this group will be of interest to you.

26th May 2009
The latest meeting of the forum took place on 26th May 2009 at the University of Glasgow (Wolfson Medical School Building). Presentations included a federation update from Mark Williams (JISC Collections), case studies from Jillian Martin (Adam Smith College) and William Nixon (University of Glasgow), and an introduction to EZProxy from Andy Swiffin (University of Dundee). Matthew Phillips (University of Dundee) discussed the effects of Shibboleth implementation on the University's library services and Rod Widdowson (EDINA) provided information on the Shib2 installer. Additionally Andy Swiffin produced a video which demonstrated how to install an IdP in under 13 minutes!
