"I hope to produce an online teaching method to use in conjunction with a local hospitality unit.."

"I decided to apply for this particular course because I felt that IT is becoming an increasing part of our education system. Students are using technology more and more to use for investigation purposes, record information, present assignments etc.

I hope to produce an online teaching method to use in conjunction with a local hospitality unit I teach to Scottish Group Award students.

The Mindmap, on completion, will hopefully be able to take the staff or student through every process of the unit from start to finish, with helpful prompts and information buttons to access. In the end I hope to be able to use the 'Mindmap' in other courses I teach and to encourage my colleagues use them also as part of their learning development and teaching practices.

The problems/difficulties/worries that I have about undertaking this course, is that my colleagues will expect too much from me. Because I have embarked on such a course, the onus may be put on me to advise others or develop courses for others. I don't feel that I have enough knowledge, yet, to do such a thing. I think that this has been a wonderful opportunity for me to have been involved with and whether I succeed or not will depend on my commitment to the project".
