The Regional Support Centre offers advice and guidance on a range of areas involving the innovative use of technology. Increasingly, colleges and universities are now focusing on 'green' or sustainable issues. Thinking about subjects such as power consumption (and how to reduce it), virtualisation, cooling, and the recycling of ICT hardware leads to benefits that are more than just financial.
The RSC is able to provide help with sustainability through lively forum activities, at which informed speakers share good practice and ideas in a friendly setting. The RSC, along with JISC itself, is also interested in disseminating independent, high-quality information on sustainable issues. Much of this information is available through the links on this part of our website.
